After 30,
both matter.

When we're younger, the body seems to handle anything.
We sleep little, eat badly, go months without training and it still responds.

Over the years, that changes.
It's no reason to panic.
It's simply an invitation to look after your body more mindfully.

Why strength matters more and more

As we get older, if we do nothing, we slowly lose muscle mass.
The loss is gradual and quiet.
You don't notice it from one day to the next.

You notice it when getting up off the floor gets harder.
When climbing to the third floor feels heavy.
When carrying your suitcases becomes a chore.

Strength training is one of the most effective tools to slow this down.
It helps keep your muscles, protects your joints and supports bone health.

After 30, training isn't just about looks. It's strength. It's conditioning. It's health.

And balance?

Balance is something we rarely train on purpose.
We only notice it when it fails.

A foot slipping on a wet pavement.
A step we didn't see.
In those moments, the combination of strength, coordination and balance is the difference between a scare and a fall.

That's why, in my sessions, the two go together.
Exercises like lunges, squat variations, single-leg work and the agility ladder build strength and stability at the same time.

Strength training has no age limit

I often hear things like:

The truth is, it's never too early or too late to start training.
What changes is how you start.

With guidance, training adapts to your level, your limitations and your history.
We start with simple movements, learn the technique and only then raise the challenge.
No rush.

Where to start

If you're over 30 and want to start, my advice is simple:

What matters is starting with guidance and consistency.
The rest comes with time.
